'On The Catmint'

Welcome to my website.  I am a professional artist living and working in the pastoral uplands of Devon, close to the Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks - the Country of the Two Rivers made famous by Henry Williamson in his book "Tarka the Otter".   I specialise in oils and pastel paintings of animals, including the livestock and wildlife of the region.

I am delighted to announce that one of my pieces, 'On The Catmint', has been accepted for Art4Macmillan, a prestigious art auction to be held at the offices of Michelmores Solicitors in Exeter on 17th October 2014. It is hoped that the event will raise £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in this its first year. The full auction catalogue is available on Michelmores website at www.michelmores.com/events, and features inspirational work by numerous artists.  Work will also be displayed by prominent sculptor Heather Jansch's, famous for her iconic driftwood horses.

A selection of my original paintings is available through a number of leading galleries in the UK including the Steam Gallery at Beer, Devon and the Salar Gallery at Hatherleigh.  I also have one painting still available following the 2014 NEWA exhibition which is available online via the NEWA website.

My Prints page has details of my "Country Walk" collection of open and limited edition prints of cows and other animals, and I have a number of limited edition prints available through Buckingham Fine Art Publishers.

Time permitting I am able to undertake quality commissions by arrangement - please refer to my Commissions page for details.

I run a (very) limited number of animal painting courses from my home studio near Torrington, where I also offer private tuition by arrangement.  A consultancy service by email is also available, along with a range of e-workshops.  You will find further details on my Tuition and E-mail Tuition pages.
